Food adventure - Hakata Ippudo

As me and my family were in town, we made a spontaneous decision to have ramen noodles for dinner. I then google searched "best ramen in town" and on the first of the list was Hakata Ippudo, Pavilion Mall, KL. Because it was located so near to where we were, we went there.
The architecture of the store is very unique and eye catching. A part of the store was covered in red spoons which I think is really cool.

What I ordered was called the Shiromaru Special. In it was a salted soft-boiled egg, pieces of pork loin, seaweed and of course, handmade ramen noodles. Because I've never been to Japan, I asked my mom if it tasted anything like the ones found in Japan and she said it tasted quite authentic. The noodles were really well made and the soup was very concentrated and true to it's flavour.

One side dish that we ordered was the Lasagna Gyoza. I definitely did not want to eat it because it did not sound or look appetizing at all. In the end I decided to try a piece and surprisingly it tasted really good and really cheesy. Unless you're someone who does not enjoy eating cheese, this dish would blow your mind and your taste buds. The idea of mixing 2 cultural dishes together is fantastic.

For dessert I ordered the Panna Cotta. The texture of it was really smooth and the garnish along side the blueberry compote made the pudding taste even better, bringing out all the natural milk and cream flavour.
It was a great meal and I would definitely go back for more.

LUSH

I first discovered LUSH while watching beauty gurus on YouTube and soon grew a great interest in their products. In Malaysia, there aren't any LUSH stores and I'm guessing the reason why is that the weather here is very humid and the exchange rate is really big, hence the prices of the products being really expensive.
Although that was the case, I really wanted to know more and try out their products so I kept watching reviews and reading articles on how they're made/what ingredients they contain of. All products are hand made with natural ingredients. Animal testing is not supported and the containers of the products are made out of 100% recycled waste.

In May of 2014, me and my family went on a trip to England, then Europe.

In Belgium, Europe, I came across a LUSH store and was super stoked. I couldn't understand what the labels said because they were all in French or Dutch. One of the sales assistant there was kind enough to help me by introducing their best selling products to me. I ended up getting a few soap bars and 1 solid shampoo bar named Seanik. The shampoo bar lasted me about 3 months which is amazingly good in money saving and environmentally friendly. It did not irritate my scalp at all. The soaps did a great job at cleaning and they always left me smelling super fresh. The prices in euros were quite reasonable and quite cheap however if it were to be sold in Malaysia, in Malaysian ringgit, it would be super overpriced.
My interest grew even more when my mom came back from the US with a whole stash of LUSH products. This allowed me to try and explore what outcome does the product bring to my skin as well as experimenting on what products my skin type can take in a safer way. The most recent trip I made to LUSH was when I went to Singapore in December, 2014. It was the Wisma Atria, Orchard Road, LUSH store that I had splurged my money in. I am currently still trying out their facial products and will be reviewing some of my favorites soon.

Introduction

Hi guys!

I'm Joy. I started my blog about 2 years ago when I had only 2 posts which were about school and what not. This year, I've gotten the inspiration to start blogging again. Therefor, I deleted the previous posts and decided to start anew. After tons of convincing and support from friends (especially Abby), I finally came to setting up and hopefully I stay commited as long as I can. I hope you enjoy reading my posts that are going to be up soon.

Till then, have a great day and take care.
(btw the girl in the green shirt is my sis)
